About
We cover a broad field of education and research within the ecological interactions and agriculture production.
We have particular focus on food supply and sustainability, and we are in our research working on many different levels in the ecosystem: from molecules to organisms to entire populations and ecosystems.
Our prime mission is to contribute in the development of an economically and environmentally friendly agriculture - while natural resources and diversity are used in a sustainable way.
We collaborate in our research with a number of national and international knowledge institutions and enterprises, including in particular the agriculture industry.
We teach a wide range of subjects that are part of LIFE's bachelor and master educations: Natural Resource, Agricultural Science, Horticulture and Agricultural development. Studies that educates candidates to address national and global challenges within management and use of natural resources.
The Department is organized in five sections, each of which covers a variety of research and teaching areas.
